Gun Disassembly is an amazing interactive application that lets you learn a lot about guns. It’s a completely accurate program that doesn’t only display the guns in 3D and in a very precise and detailed way but also lets you see how the guns work, in a clear, animated manner, showing the inner functionality of the guns in every little detail.
For every gun, it offers 5 different main functions: Demo, Operate, Disassembly, Assembly, Game. The “Demo” mode shows the gun assembly and disassembly processes step by step, but without using the X-Ray view. The “Disassembly” and “Assembly” modes make use of this X-Ray View to let you view through the gun and see where all the parts are located. The “Operate Mode” is also very interesting; it lets you fire the gun, slide the moving parts, and reload the gun when the magazine is empty, all in slow motion. As you’ve probably guessed, the “Game” mode helps you test your skills by asking you to solve puzzles which involve reassembling guns as fast as possible.
Gun Disassembly also comes with a large collection of guns, neatly organized by categories, like pistols or assault rifles. Unfortunately, not all of them are available for free, therefore some models have to be purchased in order to use them. Anyway, both modern and historical models are available, and the original gun parts names are used.
Considering how comprehensive and accurate this tool is, the fact that some of the gun models have to be purchased separately is a small inconvenience that can be easily ignored. To conclude, Gun Disassembly is a great tool that gets my recommendation.
